The network's school in Jasper, TX, Parnell Elementary, is looking for teacher apprentices.
Teacher Apprentices work with distinguished teachers to grow their craft and become classroom teachers.
Teacher Apprentices teach students in collaboration with the distinguished teachers.
They do not plan lessons or assignments, but will familiarize themselves with the lessons and the instructional materials in order to teach effectively.
Once the school leadership team and the distinguished teacher believes the Apprentice is ready to provide direct instruction without any support, they will be elevated to the teacher position and receive the commensurate salary increase.
Classroom teachers and apprentices receive great support.
Lesson plans, demonstrations of learning, and student assignments and activities are provided to the teachers by expert curriculum developers.
Teacher assistants (called Learning Coaches) makes copies and grade papers for the teachers.
Teachers and Apprentices also have minimal duties and only four days a month.
The minimum salary for a Teacher Apprentices is $63,000.
We also provide health, dental, and vision for only $50 a month.
